Turn the Dharma Wheel • Share Wisdom • Cultivate Goodness

The Turning of the Dharma Wheel symbolises the Buddha sharing the Dharma — carrying wisdom, compassion and the path towards liberation from suffering to sentient beings.

Medicine Buddha is associated with great compassion and his Twelve Great Vows, which express aspirations for the well-being of sentient beings, freedom from suffering, the cultivation of wisdom and the journey towards wholesome living.

Participating in the Medicine Buddha Dharma Wheel may be regarded as a meaningful act of rejoicing in and supporting the propagation of the Dharma.

🌿 The Meaning of Turning the Dharma Wheel

1. Supporting and Sharing the Dharma Rejoicing in the spreading of the Buddha's teachings allows wisdom and wholesome values to continue reaching those who seek guidance and understanding.
2. Cultivating Compassion and Good Intentions Reflecting on Medicine Buddha's Twelve Great Vows encourages us to care for others and bring compassion into our everyday actions.
3. Aspiring for Peace and Well-Being With a sincere heart, we may dedicate our aspirations towards peace, well-being and freedom from suffering for ourselves and our loved ones. 
4. Creating Wholesome Connections and Dedication The wholesome intention generated through this practice may be dedicated to our parents, family, friends and all sentient beings, wishing that they may be free from suffering and grow in wisdom and virtue.
5. Bringing the Dharma into Everyday Life Turning the Dharma Wheel is more than a ritual. It is a reminder to practise mindfulness in daily life — less worry, more compassion; less attachment, more wisdom.

May this eternal lamp shine continuously, and may the Lapis Lazuli Light of Medicine Buddha illuminate our body and mind, bringing well-being, longevity, growing merits and wisdom, peace and auspiciousness.
